Chorley & South Ribble and Greater Preston CCGs 5 year strategy

The challenge

Chorley & South Ribble and Greater Preston CCGs (2 CCGs with a shared management team) were developing their 5 year strategy. They saw the opportunity within the process to begin a journey of radical change across the health economy. They also recognised that it wouldn’t be possible to do this alone and needed the active involvement of their health and care partners. The CCGs wanted to engage those who had a stake or influence in changes across the health community, plus those potentially affected by the radical redesign of how services will look. Acute and Community Trusts, public health, GPs, specialised commissioning, private providers, the local area team, local authority and patient representatives all needed to contribute and have their say.
